6 Whovian Pet Peeves

There are many things that can bother a Whovian, and I will list some of them. 😉

"I just love the character Dr. Who, don't you?"

This is a complete no-no for any Whovian. If you are not a Whovian, then be respectful and know that he is THE DOCTOR, not DR. WHO.
I know some Whovians will say (especially Classic Doctor Who fans), "He was referred to as Doctor Who at some points in the show, so it's okay to call him Dr. Who!" But, I have something to tell those Whovians: What does everyone refer to him as? Well?
Do they refer to him as Doctor Who?
Or... does most of everyone that is close to him call him the Doctor?
Yep.
That's what I thought.

"The (Number) Doctor isn't really the Doctor."

Excuse you, where does the script say that he ISN'T the Doctor? He is obviously the Doctor otherwise the previous Doctor wouldn't have regenerated into him. The point of regeneration is that he isn't the same as the previous Doctor, so if it is expected that he have the same personality as "your Doctor" then everyone should know that this isn't how this works. There have been THIRTEEN regenerations of the Doctor, and each of them have a very different personality: WHICH IS THE POINT. He isn't supposed to be like "your Doctor." Just because he's different from the rest of them, doesn't mean that he isn't still the Doctor. I'll just give you a quote to show how the Doctor feels about this matter:

"You can't see me, can you? You look at me, and you can't see me. I'm not on the phone. I'm right here, standing in front of you. Please, just... just see me." - The Twelfth Doctor, "Deep Breath"

So, to all who have said that before, just remember that quote from the Twelfth Doctor. Please and thank you. 😝

"THIS JUST IN: MATT SMITH IS GOING TO"... not be the next Doctor 😐

Every time I see these articles I want to throw my laptop out the window. Yes, I'm serious. It doesn't make me happy to think that a previous awesome Doctor is going to regain his role as the "new" Doctor. They're all just rumors anyway (i.e. not true most of the time). If it were true, I would shout at the writer and cast director and ask him what the heck he is doing bringing back Matt Smith or David Tennant or pretty much any previous Doctor as our new Doctor. It might be just me that gets irritated by this, but it seriously is annoying. I don't want an old Doctor, I sincerely want a new Doctor! I already experienced Matt Smith's and David Tennant's Doctor, give me something new. Seriously, people. I'm completely fine with it when they bring back old Doctors like they do with The Three Doctors, The Five Doctors, The Two Doctors, and The Day of the Doctor because they are stated to be OF THE PREVIOUS REGENERATION. Do you know how messed up it would be if they had TWO Matt Smith Doctor's in one of those kind of episodes? It would be insane...ly stupid. 😛

"Rose is the best companion everrrr!!!!!"

I'm not going to say that Rose was a terrible companion, cause she wasn't. But, she certainly wasn't the best one. I know this is probably a matter of opinion, but there are plenty of way better companions out there than Rose. She wasn't that useful of a companion. She is always the one who got into trouble and the Doctor would have to get her out of it. So, in my opinion, she was a pretty lame companion. I know for most companions that is the case, but we don't go around saying they're the best companion either. Better companions are the ones who can help the Doctor, and help him get out of messes instead of causing them. Like, Ian, Jamie, Turlough, Ace, Donna, and Amy. Or, even to be able to get themselves out of their own messes without absolutely needing the Doctor.

"Oh, yeah! I totally love Doctor Who! You could say I'm a total Dweek! Hehehehehe!"

*ahem* I think you meant WHOVIAN. Dweek is not what we as a fandom call ourselves, as cute as it may sound. We are not cute. We are Timelords traveling the Galaxy and following along the adventures of the Doctor. He has sad adventures, scary adventures, thrilling adventures, and occasionally cute adventures (such as with the Adipose). Not every Doctor is "cute" like this nickname of our fandom you have come up with. Some are very serious and nothing like David Tennant or Matt Smith, which I'm sure you're used to if you're referring to yourself as an adorable Dweek. Please stop and realize we are Whovians not Dweeks. Thank you very much. 😜

"Eh, I don't want to watch Classic Doctor Who. It's really old."

I do admit that the Classic Doctor Who is old. There's no denying it. I mean, the First and Second Doctor were both in black and white cause it was created in 1963. But, it's actually better than most older TV Shows in my opinion. Yes, it is super cheesy and the graphics are absolutely horrid most of the time. Yes, to begin with, the story lines are pretty lame. If you want to fully experience Doctor Who, then I would highly suggest watching the Classic. I know this bothers a lot of Whovians when people say this, but I understand where these people are coming from. If they want to give it a chance, then great, but I certainly won't force them. Really, the best part of the Classic Doctor Who is the Doctor. If you can focus on the Doctor and ignore all the silly and stupid parts about it since it's an older show, then it's really super amazing. I won't say that it's absolutely perfect, but the Doctor is absolutely wonderful and seeing his development throughout the years is awesome.

Why Did Bill Have To Be A Lesbian?

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING CONTENT IS CONTROVERSIAL. IF YOU DON'T LIKE OPINIONS, LEAVE NOW OR KEEP YOUR COMMENTS TO YOURSELF. THANK YOU!

Seriously, Moffatt? I actually really liked Bill... until it was revealed that she was a lesbian. The thing is that it doesn't even fit with her character at all, much like any of the other LGBT characters on the show. The fact that she made Doctor Who history by being the first ever lesbian companion is seriously ridiculous in my opinion. I know I'm a little late on the uptake. But seriously guys, I'm kinda fed up about this. 😜
Bill is a great character. She is adventurous, curious, intelligent, stubborn (much like the Doctor), and has some humor about her. She is going to be a great companion and is a really good fit to the Twelfth Doctor having recently lost his memory of Clara and with the death of River Song. Why couldn't her being a lesbian just be left out of the equation altogether? Did we really need to have a lesbian companion? We already had a gay companion for crying out loud (i.e. Jack Harkness, if you count him). It really does not fit in with her character at all, in my opinion. I mean, I suppose I should have seen it coming with a name like Bill. But, come on! She did not need that added to her character. She will probably be down there with the lame companions such as Martha, Mickey, Harry, Dodo, and Susan on my list of companions. Knowing the filming industry, I fear that they'll focus too much on the fact that she is a lesbian. I think the only good thing about this season will be the Doctor (as always) and the return of John Simm as the Master.
She could have been a great character, but with this addition to her character really ruins the entire character development process. It's really poor character writing, which makes me really dislike her character. There is nothing more damaging to a writer's reputation than making a great character and then being all like, "Oh look, she's a lesbian!" It really just irritates me, and not just because I already hate that LGBT things are everywhere in shows and movies these days. It's because of the poor character building on the writer's part. It would be like grabbing a cup of coffee that you expect to have cream and sugar after having told the waitress specifically how much you want of each, but then once you have it on the table and you take a sip you come to find out that there's actually salt and corn starch mixed in it which is not at all what was supposed to be in it. So then you now have a perfectly good cup of coffee, ruined by salt and corn starch. That is what Bill is as a character, a ruined cup of coffee with salt and corn starch. 😛 In my opinion, if there is going to be a character that is LGBT... make it obvious. It should be apparent from their actions and their mannerisms. Stop hiding it and then have a big reveal, it's just poor writing. With good character development, things aren't just random. I personally hate the whole entire thing and I don't like having it in there to begin with because the morals are just wrong and sinful, but it just makes it even worse when the character development for it is completely awful. I'd rather know right away so that I can immediately know not to like that character. 😜 Don't tease me with a good character and then ruin them. 😝

My Least Favorite Companions of Each Doctor and Why

First Doctor: Dorothea "Dodo" Chaplet
The answer of why I hate this particular companion is quite clear on her departure. Not only was she able to travel with the Doctor (almost by accident), but she just left. WITHOUT SAYING GOODBYE. It's one thing to leave, which I already hate, but to not even say to his face that she was leaving just makes me mad. (I mean, I'm mad, but imagine how mad the First Doctor was. *ahem* VERY.)

Second Doctor: NO ONE YOU SILLY PERSON. HE HAS THE BESTEST COMPANIONS EVER. I REFUSE TO CHOOSE ON THE CHARGE THAT THE SECOND DOCTOR'S FAVORITE UMBRELLA WAS DESTROYED. THAT IS ALL.

Third Doctor: Liz Shaw (I suppose)
I actually don't really have any particular reason to dislike her. I also don't have any reason to say that I "like her character" as she wasn't there with the Doctor that long. She was an okay companion. I wish she had had a little longer with the Doctor....

Fourth Doctor: Romana I
I might have thought that I would like this character since she was a Timelord. I was open to having her there, but then she had the usual Timelord arrogance that I don't like. (It fits on the Doctor because he does it in a light-hearted manner, on other Timelords it's just irritating.) This character just really seriously annoys me. Her clothing (as seen) is really pompous, and I don't like it. She wasn't really that nice to the Doctor, which I have disdain for. She treated him like he didn't know anything for a long time, then she snapped out of it sorta. But it didn't make up for the fact of what she had already said, and this makes me not really like her. I like her second version (by Lalla Ward) much better.

Fifth Doctor: Tegan Jovanka
I know a lot of people really like Tegan, but I really don't see it. She was an okay companion, but I thought she was a little irritating sometimes. While I love the Doctor's love for her, I just personally don't really like her much. I didn't really feel much when she left like a scared cat (to some that episode was emotional, which I don't understand why). She just wasn't as good as Adric, Nyssa, Turlough, or Peri.

Sixth Doctor: NO ONE YOU SILLY PERSON. DON'T YOU DARE MAKE ME CHOOSE OR I'LL THROW A CAT AT YOU.

Seventh Doctor: Mel Bush (I guess)
To be honest with you, I actually quite like Mel. She just isn't Ace, who is the best companion of the Seventh Doctor.

Ninth Doctor: Mickey Smith
In my opinion, he was a really an unnecessary character in general.  Not to mention wimpy and whiny when Rose left him (rightly so) for the Doctor. He didn't really fit into the entire scheme of the show much. He was dangling character with no real purpose.

Tenth Doctor: Martha Jones
I don't dislike Martha, don't get me wrong. But she could have been better if she had left out trying to be a love interest of the Doctor. She wasn't really there to be a friend to the Doctor, she just wanted to be with him. Which didn't boad well with him, since he had just lost Rose. If she could have been like a younger version of Evelyn Smithe, I would have definitely liked her better.

Eleventh Doctor: Clara Oswald
I don't really much like Clara since after Heaven Sent, so it's easy for me to put her as a least favorite during the Eleventh Doctor. She could have been a really great companion if not for her departure which makes me really mad. She was pretty good during the Eleventh Doctor, though short lived since he regenerated a little while after meeting her.

My Favorite Episodes from My Top 5 Favorite Doctors

1st Favorite Doctor: The Second Doctor
Episode Name: The Mind Robber

This episode is so mind-blowingly awesome. I love the concept of it all. Basically what happens in this story is that the Doctor, Jamie, and Zoe are brought to a fictional world. It starts out with the TARDIS exploding. (GASP!)  They face all these fictional things, be it from mythology, fiction, or fairy tails. The person in control of it all make Jamie and Zoe fictional (go figure), to which the Doctor has to stop him. To the Doctor's dismay, the guy wants him to take his place. The Doctor practically has no way to save Jamie and Zoe because if he calls out his own name then he himself would become fictional as well, thus being part of the story that the Master (not the Master your thinking of) had created. The thing with this story is that Jamie and Zoe are the ones who save the Doctor (after he had helped them not be fictional anymore). At the end, the TARDIS isn't exploded after all, and literally everything that had happened before the point of the TARDIS being destroyed never happened. The whole structure of this episode was absolutely amazing. In my opinion, this episode trumps almost every episode of Doctor Who that I've ever seen. It just had great character and story development, and, as a writer, I appreciated that it was basically a shout out to writers everywhere. I just loved it all to be quite honest.

2nd Favorite Doctor: The Sixth Doctor
Episode Name: Mindwarp

In this episode, the Doctor basically doesn't remember much of anything that happens. He's on trial by the Timelords to see if he should be traveling (though the Second Doctor already suffered for a trial of the same accusation in The War Games). His mind was messed with in this episode, and it made him do out of character things. Such as abandoning Peri and turning on her to the point that he interrogated her for the side he had switched to which was not with her. It didn't help that at the end of the episode that the Timelords had told him that she had died, especially after all the things he had done during the episode. (Yeah, I cried. The Doctor was so sad.) He was going to save her, but the Timelords had pulled him out before he could. She didn't die (the footage was messed with), fortunately, because one of her friends saved her (which strangely she got married to him, but at least she was okay). I loved this episode because it showed what kind of man the Doctor is. He usually didn't do stuff like that, and, in a way, showing the negative things he did when his mind was wrong showed that he was a caring man at heart.

3rd Favorite Doctor: The Fifth Doctor
Episode Name: Black Orchid

The Doctor, Nyssa, Adric, and Tegan come to this mysterious house to which the people that live there think that they were invited to their party. This is where the Doctor shows off his cricket skills. Basically, this episode is a big murder mystery. To which, the Doctor is suspect (of course). Little did he know that the outfit he wore was the same that of the killer, which is why everyone at the party thought it was him. Turned out that it was the supposedly dead fiancé of one of the people at the house that the mother was hiding there because he was deformed after an expedition he had gone on.  I loved this episode mostly because I love mysteries and it was well structured. Plus the Doctor! Which made it absolutely perfect.

4th Favorite Doctor: The Eleventh Doctor
Episode Name: The Doctor's Wife

The Doctor, Amy, and Rory encounter a planet on the edge of the universe after the Doctor had received a message from one of his Timelord friends. The TARDIS is transferred to a humanoid body, though, because the people on the planet are into stealing TARDISes from Timelords. This shows how close the TARDIS and the Doctor are to each other. I loved the dynamic between the two. If the TARDIS had stayed humanoid, I would sooooo ship them. It was so sad when she finally had to go, but at least she got to tell him that she loved him. 💖

5th Favorite Doctor: The Twelfth Doctor
Episode Name: The Robot of Sherwood

This is the episode that seriously made me love the Twelfth Doctor. In this episode, the Doctor takes Clara to Sherwood Forest, which he had claimed previously that it wasn't real. So for most of the episode, he's trying to prove it's not real. He fights with Robin Hood, who had a sword, with a spoon. When he meets the Merry Men, he tries to find something that isn't real about them but can only find reality. The banter between the Doctor and Robin was hilarious, and I loved it so much. This episode, to me, proved how hilarious the Twelfth Doctor is. Before this episode, I liked the Twelfth Doctor. But, after this episode, I couldn't help but absolutely loved him! Thus, why this episode is by far my favorite of his era so far.

My Favorite Companions of Each Doctor and Why

**I'm only going up to Eleven since Twelve is the current Doctor, and has not yet regenerated.

First Doctor: Ian Chesterton
While I love Barbara as well, he really stole my heart as my favorite companion of the First Doctor. (Though Steven Taylor was a close second to him.) He's sweet and funny, and I love his relationship with Barbara. He's also very smart and noble, and I just love his personality. Even though most of the time he didn't really want to be with the Doctor and just wanted to go home, he was still an amazing companion.

Second Doctor: Jamie McCrimmon
The longest running companion ever in Doctor Who history! And also the best companion of the Classic Doctor Who era in my personal opinion. He's fiercely loyal to the Doctor, which I love. He may not be the brightest companion of the batch, but he knows how to be a good companion! He's strong physically, which helps in protecting the Doctor and the female companions. Just don't make fun of his kilt and you'll be fine! 😉

Third Doctor: Sarah Jane
I liked her much more during the Third Doctor than the Fourth Doctor to be quite honest. She was a great and strong-willed companion, who would do literally anything for the Doctor. At first, she's not quite sure what to make of him, but she quickly grew quite fond of him. And for that reason, she is my favorite of the Third Doctor!

Fourth Doctor: K9
Sorry, biological companions. No one can beat the adorable K9! He was seriously the best, and the Doctor's best friend! Though he beat him at chess, to the Doctor's dismay (though the Doctor will never admit to the defeat). He was so hilarious. I seriously loved him with the Fourth Doctor. But don't get me started on the fact that towards the end of the Fourth Doctor they changed voice actors, I was seriously so mad. Grrrrrrrr! But K9 (John Leeson, no one else) is the best. I seriously loved him.

Fifth Doctor: Vislor Turlough
I really have no idea why I love this character so much. I mean, the whole reason he ever meets the Doctor is so that he could kill him. (Rough start, right?) It would seem like I would hate him, but the Doctor's compassion for him, I think, is what officially made me like him. He's really funny, once he's out of the grasp of the Black Guardian, and I was really glad when the Doctor forgave him because I was already starting to really love his character. I was glad he chose with his heart in not killing the Doctor, and that really showed what kind of person he was. He didn't want to kill a good hearted man, the Doctor, all because he was being forced to, even if it meant he himself might get hurt. He's a seriously amazing companion.

Sixth Doctor: Perpugilliam "Peri" Brown
She is such a sweet girl. I seriously love her relationship with the Sixth Doctor. They're such an interesting team, once they got used to each other. I really seriously cried on her departure when she was supposedly killed and the Doctor was blamed. The Doctor is seriously so sweetly protective of her, that I couldn't help but love her too.

Seventh Doctor: Ace
The toughest girl companion that proved it! She destroyed a Dalek with a baseball bat (though enhanced by the Doctor). She loves to make explosions with her homemade Nitro 9 that the Doctor always tells her not to bring (though she never listens). She nearly always calls him "Professor" to my dismay, but no one could really stop her if they tried. (It's okay, though, because when he's in real danger she calls him Doctor.) I love her relationship with the Doctor, though. She is a lot like a female version of Jamie. She's very loyal to the Doctor and will risk her life to save his any day of the week.

Ninth Doctor: Rose Tyler
I am more okay with Rose during the Ninth Doctor since at this point she hadn't betrayed the Doctor and she was more loyal to the Doctor then. She never wanted to leave his side, and he risked his life to save hers. I mostly like her because the Doctor likes her at this point. Honestly, if the Ninth Doctor had had another companion other than Jack and Mickey, I'd probably choose them instead of Rose because I don't like her much now after Journey's End.

Tenth Doctor: Donna Noble
The sassy best friend of the Doctor. She is seriously my overall favorite companion ever in all of Doctor Who (and I can say that because I've seen it all, bruh). She is hilarious and so loyal to the Doctor that seriously only her memory being erased could have ever separated her from the Doctor. She would have traveled with him forever if she could. She was a true friend to the Doctor when he needed one most. While she might tease him sometimes, she has only good intentions towards the Doctor, which I love about her.

Eleventh Doctor: Rory Williams
While he probably wouldn't have ever endeavored to go on the adventures with the Doctor if it wasn't for his wife, I seriously loved Rory. He was always the odd man out because he was Amy's husband, but he was seriously amazing if they gave him a chance. He was so hilarious, and I loved how he was always the one to be like, "How about no." I loved the relationship with him and Amy. Amy was awesome, but Rory was way more awesome in my opinion.

Top 5 Reasons Why the Eleventh Doctor is Adorable

Week 2 of Doctor Adorableness. This week, the Eleventh Doctor!! 💖

5)  He's so childish.
He's soooooo amazingly childish. 💖 I wanted him to have a kid companion, but if I think about it, he would've never gotten anything done because he'd probably spend it all playing with toys with his companion. 😂
Seriously. Soooo childish. 💖

4) He only likes fish sticks and custard.
Remember when he rummaged through little Amy's food? Bacon is poison. Yogurt is stuff with bits in it. Beans are evil. To bread and butter, he says, "AND STAY OUT!"
But the one thing that this Timelord wanted was fish sticks... and custard.
So adorbs. 💖

3) He's a silly Doctor.
We all know that the Eleventh Doctor is silly. He's one of the silliest Doctors ever. But he's so silly that this makes him adorable. 💖
Look at dis:
Yes, it is. I know, it's painful. 😂
Such silliness. 😍
We all love it when you survive, Doctor. 💖
The Doctor: Right. Perfect. Look at that. What could possibly go wrong? *a piece falls off the console*

2) He thinks everything is cool.
So many things that he thinks are cool. 😊 Such as the fez.
Isn't he just so adorable in a fez? 😍 He's already adorable, but when he has a fez his adorableness meter goes off the charts and he's mega adorableeee!!!!! 😊
Then the bowtie. 😊
AND DEH GLASSES (tho they kinda sad).
Then the stetsons. (River, why you shoot off deh adorableness?)

1) He's got such an adorable, childish face. 😊
Deh face is de most adorable ting ever. 💖 I know at first his face seems weird, but his face is mega adorable to me. 😊
LOOK AT HIMMMM!!!! 💖
Such adorableness. 😍

Top 5 Reasons Why the Tenth Doctor is Adorable (Even at 900 Years Old)

For the next few weeks, I'm gonna be giving you reasons why each Doctor is adorable. You're welcome. 😉 This week I tell you why the Tenth Doctor is adorable. (starting with Ten because he was my first Doctor. Dill wid it. 😎 )

#5) He always knows just what to say.
There's constantly that little thing that the Doctor says that just makes us all go, "Whaaaa?" It happens a lot with the Tenth Doctor. Where there's something serious going on and in the middle of it all, the Doctor just says the most off the wall thing. And I think it's absolutely adorable.
Whether it be in the middle of an alien invasion...
Or at the end of the world...
Or even just to lighten the mood...

#4) He's mad... but he doesn't really know it.
We all know that the Doctor is insane. He's a mad man with a box. But like, does HE know he's mad?  Doubtful.
Like that one time when...
Or the other time...
Poor Doctor. Thinks madness has to do with his fashion sense.

#3) The way he says, "Well..."
Ah, yes. The ever famous "well." Saying "well" is never the same after the Tenth Doctor, for good reason. Because it's absolutely adorable the way he does it. 😏

#2) He has the most adorably fluffy hair. 💖
Don't you just love the Tenth Doctor's hair? 😍 It's so mega adorable. I can't evennnnnnnnn!!!!💘 I MEAN LOOK AT IT -
Majestic.
I've never wanted to pet someone's hair... until I met the Tenth Doctor.
Aghhhh so fluffy. 😍
And then we all wonder... like... just...
The world may never know the secret of the fluffy hair, but we can enjoy its fluffiness. 💓

#1) He has the stupidest grin. 😁
And by stupid, I actually mean adorable. 😏 I just lovvveee itttttt! ❤️ Look at dis face:

Tenny... stop being so amazingly adorable. 💗💗
No wait... don't... just keep being adorable. I didn't mean it. ❤️
