My Favorite Episodes from My Top 5 Favorite Doctors

1st Favorite Doctor: The Second Doctor
Episode Name: The Mind Robber

This episode is so mind-blowingly awesome. I love the concept of it all. Basically what happens in this story is that the Doctor, Jamie, and Zoe are brought to a fictional world. It starts out with the TARDIS exploding. (GASP!)  They face all these fictional things, be it from mythology, fiction, or fairy tails. The person in control of it all make Jamie and Zoe fictional (go figure), to which the Doctor has to stop him. To the Doctor's dismay, the guy wants him to take his place. The Doctor practically has no way to save Jamie and Zoe because if he calls out his own name then he himself would become fictional as well, thus being part of the story that the Master (not the Master your thinking of) had created. The thing with this story is that Jamie and Zoe are the ones who save the Doctor (after he had helped them not be fictional anymore). At the end, the TARDIS isn't exploded after all, and literally everything that had happened before the point of the TARDIS being destroyed never happened. The whole structure of this episode was absolutely amazing. In my opinion, this episode trumps almost every episode of Doctor Who that I've ever seen. It just had great character and story development, and, as a writer, I appreciated that it was basically a shout out to writers everywhere. I just loved it all to be quite honest.

2nd Favorite Doctor: The Sixth Doctor
Episode Name: Mindwarp

In this episode, the Doctor basically doesn't remember much of anything that happens. He's on trial by the Timelords to see if he should be traveling (though the Second Doctor already suffered for a trial of the same accusation in The War Games). His mind was messed with in this episode, and it made him do out of character things. Such as abandoning Peri and turning on her to the point that he interrogated her for the side he had switched to which was not with her. It didn't help that at the end of the episode that the Timelords had told him that she had died, especially after all the things he had done during the episode. (Yeah, I cried. The Doctor was so sad.) He was going to save her, but the Timelords had pulled him out before he could. She didn't die (the footage was messed with), fortunately, because one of her friends saved her (which strangely she got married to him, but at least she was okay). I loved this episode because it showed what kind of man the Doctor is. He usually didn't do stuff like that, and, in a way, showing the negative things he did when his mind was wrong showed that he was a caring man at heart.

3rd Favorite Doctor: The Fifth Doctor
Episode Name: Black Orchid

The Doctor, Nyssa, Adric, and Tegan come to this mysterious house to which the people that live there think that they were invited to their party. This is where the Doctor shows off his cricket skills. Basically, this episode is a big murder mystery. To which, the Doctor is suspect (of course). Little did he know that the outfit he wore was the same that of the killer, which is why everyone at the party thought it was him. Turned out that it was the supposedly dead fiancé of one of the people at the house that the mother was hiding there because he was deformed after an expedition he had gone on.  I loved this episode mostly because I love mysteries and it was well structured. Plus the Doctor! Which made it absolutely perfect.

4th Favorite Doctor: The Eleventh Doctor
Episode Name: The Doctor's Wife

The Doctor, Amy, and Rory encounter a planet on the edge of the universe after the Doctor had received a message from one of his Timelord friends. The TARDIS is transferred to a humanoid body, though, because the people on the planet are into stealing TARDISes from Timelords. This shows how close the TARDIS and the Doctor are to each other. I loved the dynamic between the two. If the TARDIS had stayed humanoid, I would sooooo ship them. It was so sad when she finally had to go, but at least she got to tell him that she loved him. 💖

5th Favorite Doctor: The Twelfth Doctor
Episode Name: The Robot of Sherwood

This is the episode that seriously made me love the Twelfth Doctor. In this episode, the Doctor takes Clara to Sherwood Forest, which he had claimed previously that it wasn't real. So for most of the episode, he's trying to prove it's not real. He fights with Robin Hood, who had a sword, with a spoon. When he meets the Merry Men, he tries to find something that isn't real about them but can only find reality. The banter between the Doctor and Robin was hilarious, and I loved it so much. This episode, to me, proved how hilarious the Twelfth Doctor is. Before this episode, I liked the Twelfth Doctor. But, after this episode, I couldn't help but absolutely loved him! Thus, why this episode is by far my favorite of his era so far.
